Paper-I is qualifying in nature, and candidates will be shortlisted for Paper-II based on normalized marks. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Paper-II (Computer Based Examination)<\/strong>: Shortlisted candidates from Paper-I will appear for Paper-II, which focuses on the respective Engineering\/Science subjects. Final merit will be determined based on the normalized scores of Paper-II and the candidate\u2019s post preferences. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Physical Efficiency Test &amp; Medical Standards (for BRO posts only)<\/strong>: Candidates opting for Junior Engineer posts in Border Roads Organization (BRO) will have to undergo specific Physical Efficiency Tests and meet Medical Standards as detailed in Annexure-XVI of the notification. Failure to qualify may lead to cancellation of candidature for BRO posts. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Document Verification (DV)<\/strong>: Provisionally shortlisted candidates will undergo Document Verification by the User Department concerned after the declaration of the final result.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Apply_%E2%80%93_SSC_Junior_Engineer\"><\/span>How to Apply &#8211; SSC Junior Engineer<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">About SSC Junior Engineer : Candidates must follow these steps to apply for the SSC Junior Engineer Examination 2026:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>One-Time Registration (OTR)<\/strong>: All new candidates must first complete their One-Time Registration on the new SSC website (https:\/\/ssc.gov.in). OTRs from the old website (ssc.nic.in) are not functional. Candidates can opt for Aadhaar-Based Authentication during OTR. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Online Application Form<\/strong>: After successful OTR, log in and click the \u2018Apply\u2019 link under the \u2018Junior Engineer Examination, 2026\u2019 section. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Live Photograph Capture<\/strong>: The application module is designed to capture a real-time photograph. Ensure good lighting, plain background, eye-level camera, and a full-frontal view without caps, masks, or spectacles. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Upload Scanned Signature<\/strong>: Upload a scanned signature in JPEG format (10-20 KB), with dimensions of 6.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height). <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fill Details<\/strong>: Information from OTR will be auto-filled.
