How Is the India Post GDS Merit List Prepared?

There is no written exam for GDS selection. The merit list is system-generated from the marks obtained in the Class 10 examination. Candidates whose names appear in the list are then called for document verification.

The rules for tie-breaking and category-wise selection are in the official notification. They are not covered in the sources used for this article, so please check the notification PDF.
