Eligibility Criteria (As of 06/03/2026)

1. Educational Qualification & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology obtained from any recognized University established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India, and approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
  • Candidate must possess about two (2) years of experience in the field of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology from RCI/MCI recognized/approved Government/Local bodies/Government undertakings/Hospitals/Colleges after obtaining the educational qualification.
  • The selected candidate must register with the Central Rehabilitation Register of the RCI at the time of appointment.
  • Basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed by the State Government.
  • Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

2. Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 37 Years
  • Age Relaxations: Up to 5 years for General Female candidates and Reserved Category Male candidates. Up to 10 years for Reserved Category Female candidates. Relaxations are also applicable for PwD and Ex-Servicemen as per government rules (Maximum age limit including all relaxations is 45 years).

Salary Structure for GSSSB Speech Therapist Recruitment 2026

  • Selected candidates will be appointed on a fixed salary of ₹ 40,800/- per month for the first five years.
  • Upon satisfactory completion of the five-year period, candidates will be regularized in the 7th Pay Commission Matrix Level-5 (₹ 29,200 – ₹ 92,300).

  • Reserved Categories (SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, PwD, Ex-Servicemen) & All Female Candidates: ₹ 400/-
