Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has invited online applications from 19/10/2025 to 08/11/2025 through Ojas website to fill the posts of various categories. According to which the syllabus and estimated marks for the written examination of various categories will be as follows. All candidates will have to take note of which.
BMC Syllabus 2025
Marking method of written examination of categories:
Question paper (objective)
Time-2.00 hours,
Total marks- 100,
Total questions will be 100.
1 (one) mark will be available for each correct answer. And,
(i) (-0.33) marks for each wrong answer
(ii) (-0.33) marks for each answer left blank
(iii) (-0.33) marks for each answer where more than one option is indicated or crossed out
(iv) There will be one option “E” “Not Attempted” in the answers to each question. If the candidate does not wish to answer any question, he/she can select this option and in case of selecting the “Not Attempted” option, negative marking will not be applicable.
Thus, the total marks deducted as per (i), (ii), (iii) mentioned above from the total marks obtained by correct answers, the marks obtained by subtracting, will be accepted as the marks obtained by the candidate.

Out of the above categories, the Computer Proficiency Test will be conducted for the following categories. The syllabus of this Computer Proficiency Test will be as follows:-
Information For Junior Clerk
Out of the candidates who have secured priority in the merit list of the candidates who have passed the written examination, 5 times the number of vacancies or as many candidates as the Selection Committee of Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation decides will be taken in the Computer Proficiency Test.

2. English Typing Test – 25 Marks
Part – II
Preparing a note in word file – 10 Marks
2. Preparing a Power Point Slide for presentation based on data provided – 15
3. Preparing an Excel spread sheet and answering an arithmetic problem – 15 Marks
4. E-mails (With attachments) -10 marks
Special Note. – It is mandatory to pass the Computer Proficiency Test but it will be only a qualifying test. The marks obtained in it will not be taken into consideration while preparing the final merit. Only the weightage as per the result of the written examination will be considered.
