Educational Qualification for Municipal Accountant

1. Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Application, Commerce, Science (Mathematics/Statistics), or Arts (Statistics/Economics/Mathematics) obtained from any university or institution established or incorporated by or under a Central or State Act in India, or any other educational institution recognized as such, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
2. Possess basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
3. Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Note: Candidates holding a B.Sc. (CA & IT) or M.Sc. (CA & IT) degree are not considered eligible for this post.

Candidates who have appeared for a degree examination, the passing of which would render them educationally qualified for the Preliminary Examination, but the result of such examination is not declared until the last date of filling the application form, are also eligible to apply for the Preliminary examinations.

Selection Process – GSSSB Municipal Accountant

The selection process for the Municipal Accountant Class-3 post will consist of two stages:

Preliminary Examination (MCQs): This will be an objective-type elimination test.

• Duration: 2 Hours
• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
