GSSSB Surveyor Walking Test

The recruitment rules require candidates selected through direct recruitment to complete a prescribed walking test at the appointment stage.

Candidates unable to complete the walking test or absent from the test may receive one additional opportunity under the notified conditions. Failure to qualify or attend on the additional opportunity will result in cancellation of appointment.

Important: The walking test is conducted by the appointing authority at the appointment stage after GSSSB recommendation. It should not be confused with the competitive written examination.

GSSSB Surveyor Salary 2026

Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly salary of Rs. 26,000 for the first five years, subject to the conditions prescribed by the Gujarat Government.

After satisfactory completion of five years of service, candidates may become eligible for regular appointment in Pay Level 4, subject to the applicable Government resolutions, service conditions and pending judicial decisions specified in the notification.

The application fee is Rs. 500 for Unreserved candidates and Rs. 400 for eligible concessional categories. The examination fee is refundable to candidates who appear in the competitive examination, subject to the conditions stated in the advertisement.
