Educational Qualification – GSSSB Staff Nurse Class-3

Candidates applying for the Staff Nurse, Class-3 post must possess the following qualifications as per the recruitment rules dated 17/06/2025:

• A degree of B.Sc.(Nursing) obtained from any university established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India, or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared as deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; AND recognized by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council.
• OR a Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery obtained from an institution recognized by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council.
• Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
• Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Important Note: Candidates appointed on the basis of this examination must get themselves registered with the Gujarat Nursing Council under the Gujarat Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitor’s Act, 1968 at the time of their appointment, if not already registered.

Age Limit – GSSSB Staff Nurse Class-3

• Not less than 18 years of age.
• Not more than 35 years of age.

Age relaxation will be applicable as per Gujarat Government rules for reserved categories, women candidates, Ex-servicemen, and Divyang candidates. For instance:

Salary – GSSSB Staff Nurse Class-3

For the first five years, selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly salary of Rs. 40,800/-. After satisfactory completion of five years of service, candidates will be appointed on a regular pay scale of Rs. 29,200/- to Rs. 92,300/- (Level-5) as per the 7th Pay Commission.
