Salary/Stipend – Supreme Court JCA
About Supreme Court JCA : Selected Junior Court Assistants will be placed in Level 6 of the Pay Matrix. The salary details given in the notification are as follows:
- Pay Level: Level 6 of the Pay Matrix (Group-B Non-Gazetted post)
- Initial Basic Pay: Rs. 35,400/- per month

Selection Process – Supreme Court JCA
The selection of Supreme Court Junior Court Assistant will be made through the following four stages. Candidates have to appear in all the tests, and the minimum qualifying marks must be secured in each.

Objective Type Test Pattern (100 Questions)

- There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

Typing Speed Test and Written Test
- Typing Speed Test: mistakes allowed are 3% of the total words typed. An error in respect of a word/figure is treated as a full mistake. A wrong typing of a capital letter for a small letter or vice-versa, or an omitted, added or substituted punctuation mark, is treated as a half mistake.
- Typing Speed Test on Computer is mandatory to qualify. Answer sheets of the Written Test (Descriptive) will be evaluated only for candidates who qualify the Typing Speed Test.
- Written Test (Descriptive) in English consists of a Comprehension passage, Precis Writing and Essay Writing.
Shortlisting for Next Stages
- If a large number of candidates qualify in the Objective Type Test by securing the minimum qualifying 50 marks or more, candidates will be shortlisted on the merit list in the ratio of 1:10 against the number of tentative vacancies for the Typing Speed Test and Written Test.
- Candidates who qualify in all three tests (Objective Type Test, Typing Speed Test and Written Test) will be called for interview in the ratio of 1:3 against the number of tentative vacancies.
Test Centres for Supreme Court JCA
- The Objective Type Test will be conducted in the cities listed in Annexure-A of the advertisement (131 test centres across states and union territories, including Delhi/NCR).
- Candidates have to select cities in the order of preference, and the Registry may shift candidates to other cities or increase/decrease test centres for administrative reasons.
- The Typing Speed Test on Computer and the Written Test (Descriptive) will be conducted in Delhi/NCR.
- The Interview will be conducted either online or in physical mode in Delhi, as directed by the competent Authority.
- No request for change of city/test centre or date(s) of tests/interview will be entertained. No TA/DA is payable for appearing in the tests/interview.

About Supreme Court JCA : Eligible candidates can apply for Supreme Court Junior Court Assistant Recruitment 2026 through online mode only. Follow the steps below once the application link is activated on 07-10-2026:
- Visit the official website of the Supreme Court of India, www.sci.gov.in, and open the Recruitment link for Junior Court Assistant.
- Register and fill in the online Application Form.
- The Name, Father’s name, Mother’s name and Date of Birth must be entered exactly as in the High School Certificate/Xth Board Examination or equivalent certificate.
- Any change in name or surname must be supported by a Gazette Notification.
- Select the Objective Type Test cities in the order of preference.
- Upload the scanned copies of a recent photograph, signature and requisite documents: Class Xth, Class XIIth and Graduation Certificates, caste/community certificate (in case of reserved category candidates) and disability certificate (if applicable).
- Furnish the Undertaking that you have read and understood the terms and conditions of the advertisement and will abide by them.
- Pay the application fee online as per the instructions displayed on the payment link.
- Submit the Application Form on or before 28-10-2026 (11:55 PM), preview it and take a printout for your records.
- The printout need not be sent to the Registry.
- Retain the Application Number carefully, as it is required to generate the Admit Card and for any other information regarding the tests/interview.
Important Instructions – Supreme Court JCA
- About Supreme Court JCA : Application Forms that do not comply with the instructions will be summarily rejected. An application once submitted cannot be withdrawn or modified, and no request for change of category will be entertained. If a candidate submits more than one Application Form, only the form with the latest Application Number will be considered.
- If any information furnished is found incorrect/false, the candidature will be cancelled without notice. Candidates found guilty of impersonation or of submitting false or fabricated documents will be disqualified, prosecuted and debarred from future appointment in the Registry.
- Candidates should keep a valid personal e-mail ID and mobile number active throughout the recruitment process. No Admit Cards will be sent by post; candidates must download them from the Supreme Court website. Candidates should visit the Recruitment link on the Supreme Court website regularly for updates.
- Persons with Disabilities will get concessions/facilities as per the Office Memorandum No. F.No.P-13013/75/2023-Policy-DD-III dated 01-08-2025 of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. The scribe facility can be availed by filling in the proforma Annexure-I or Annexure-IA with the relevant certificate(s).
- The scribe’s qualification must be a minimum of two and a maximum of three academic years below the minimum qualification for the examination, and an ‘own scribe’ cannot be a candidate in the same examination or act as scribe for more than one candidate.
